The School of Health Sciences in Alupe University College offers highly competitive and market driven under graduate programmes in Physical Therapy, Medical Laboratory Science and Medical Psychology. There is demand for highly trained graduate physiotherapists, medical laboratory technologists and medical psychologists in the delivery of health services in the country.

Prof John Okutoyi Wambani

He is an Associate Professor of Anaesthesiology and the Ag. Dean, School of Health Sciences, Alupe University College. He holds a post graduate Diploma in Cardiovascular medicine and Transplantation science, a Master of Medicine in Anaesthesia and an MB ChB degree (UON). He has many years of professional experience from being; a Founding fellow, College of Anaesthetists of East, Central and Southern Africa. (FCAECSA), Fellow, College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (FCS-ECSA). He is Certified by the American Heart Association on Advanced Life Support from Norfolk, Virginia USA. He has been a Visiting Scholar in the Departments of Anaesthesiology, Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Beer Sheba, Israel and Indiana University, School of Medicine, U.S.A. He has also been certified by the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists. He is recognized as a Medical Specialist by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists' Board of Kenya. He is a member of the Kenya Society of Anaesthesiologists and the Kenya medical Association. His area of current research is perioperative morbidity.

Dr Wilfred Injera Emonyi

He is a Senior Lecturer and the Chairman of Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, School of Health Sciences, Alupe University College. He holds a PhD (KU) and Master of Science. His current research interest is genetics, viral hemorrhagic diseases, cancer, and biobanking. Current on-going research include: (1) Neuro genetics of African populations with psychosis (2) HPV and Cervical Cancer in Kenyan Women living with HIV/AIDS and (3). Establishment of the Moi University Biorepository.

Ms Caroline Ombok

She is a Lecturer and a Coordinator, Department of Behavioural Sciences, Alupe University College. She is at advanced levels of her PhD (Medical Anthropology) studies at Moi University. She holds a Master of Science
Clinical Psychology (UON), BA in Communication and Sociology (UON). She has diverse professional experience in Medical and Clinical Psychology having practiced for several years at Kenyatta National Hospital, Academic Model Providing Access to Health Care (AMPATH) and Moi teaching and Referral Hospital(MTRH). Her research interest is on Mental health issues. Current on – going research are follows: Cultural construction of mental Illness (PhD study); Kinship ties for children living in Christian Charitable Organizations; Community Perception of Street Children, and the life of teenage mothers in streets

Dr. William Nyabola Okedi,

Currently, the Chairman of Department of Public health, Environment and Nutrition Department, School of Health Sciences, Alupe University College. He holds a PhD in Public Health (policy formulation and implementation). His professional Experiences spans many years as a Cooperate in AMREF and NACADA. His
current research interests are in Public policy formulation.

Mr. Johnstone Milimo Eyinda

He is currently, a Coordinator of the Department of Physical Therapy, School of Health Science, Alupe University College. Currently Pursuing a Masters in International Research Ethics (Moi University) and Masters in Community Physiotherapy (Witwatersrand University) South Africa, BSc in Physical Therapy (JKUAT) HND (Physical Therapy, HND (Medical Education), Diploma (Physical Therapy). He is also a quality systems Auditor from KEPS. His professional experience includes several years of experience in Physical Therapy patient Care, and Lecturing at Higher institutions of learning. He has research interest in Physical challenges in the community. Current ongoing projects includes: Experience of researchers on ethical principle of Justice in HIV research Process.

Mr. Nickolas Kirinya

He is a Medical laboratory technician in the department of Medical Laboratory Science, School of Health Science, Alupe University College. He holds a Master degree in Medical Virology, Jomo Kenyatta University (Awaiting graduation); B Sc Medical Laboratory Sciences (BML), Kenya Methodist University; a B Sc
Applied Biology (Microbiology option) , Kenya Methodist University. He is registered with the Kenya medical laboratories technicians and technologist board (KLMTTB). He also has several years of practice as a laboratory technician in training institutions a tutor at various higher institutions of learning. He has professional research experiences and training from various higher institutions of learning. He has also researched on comparative performance of Elisa Kits in detection of foot and mouth disease in animals and in the prevalence of foot
and mouth serotypes in Kilifi, Kenya.

Mr. Kelvin K Juma

He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory, School of Health Sciences, Alupe University College. He is currently at advanced stage of his PhD studies. He is a holder of MSc Medical Biochemistry (KU) and BSc in Biochemistry (KU). He has several years of teaching experience at higher institutions of learning in diverse areas of biochemistry and biostatistics. He has vast research experience in Clinical chemistry, pharmacotoxicology, phytopharmacology and alcohol toxicogenetics in animal experiments. He is currently
undertaking a study on “Effects of urtica dioica, cucurbit a pepo and spinacea oleracea extracts in amelioration of alcohol induced toxicity in rat models”

Dr. Iddah Maulid Ali

Dr. Iddah Maulid Ali, Born in Malindi,Kenya. Studied at the university of Eastern Africa, Baraton, Kenya and completed a degree in Bsc Medical Laboratory Science, Maseno university, Kenya and completed Msc in Medical Immunology and PhD in Medical Biotechnology. She is a lecturer at Alupe University College, Department of Medical Laboratory Science and the Director of Research, Alupe University College. A member of Kenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologist Board (KMLTTB).

Mr. Chebii Kiptanui

He is a lecturer in Department of Medical Laboratory Science, Alupe University College. He is also at advanced level of his PhD (Medical histopathology and Cytology) studies. He holds an MSC (Medical Histopathology and Cytology) Maseno University, BSC (Medical Laboratory Sciences) MKU and a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences (KMTC). His research experience is in the use of advanced research techniques in cancer, malaria and
Trypanasomiasis among others in humans and animals. His current research interest is in study of all forms of Human Cancers.
